Items appearing on this page are intended for pupils just starting out as guitarists, or in some cases struggling readers. TAB is not used for this reason. When beginners start with music notation they usually cope with it and other forms of notation can be taught later. It is far more difficult to teach reading to an older and advanced player who has been "fast-tracked" with TAB and this sometimes produces guitarists who cannot communicate in musical language with other musicians and are often unhappy about it.
Presentation is easy to read in larger notes and/or with notename noteheads. The backtracks make simple tunes more fun to practice. The MP3s can be played on this site, or downloaded from links.
This creepy little number is all about learning to distinguish between G, B and E on the open strings. It can be signed with doh, me, lah or played from the notation in early small group lessons. Emphasize i.m. fingering.
